Life at the winery right now: We've just finished trimming the shoots. The vineyards are battling extreme drought, but thanks to irrigation they remain in good shape.

Alibernet

Vintage 2023

Moravian Provincial0.75 l12 %

Alibernet 2023 is a distinctive red wine with a deep, dark colour and an intense character. The nose is dominated by notes of blackcurrant, ripe sour cherries and wild berries, complemented by subtle spiciness and a hint of dark chocolate.

The palate is full-bodied, dry and harmonious, with subtle tannins and a pleasantly long finish. Thanks to its lower acidity, the wine feels rounded and is very easy to drink, whilst retaining its typical character and distinctiveness. Alibernet is a variety known for its intense colour and rich flavour, which this wine beautifully exemplifies.

We recommend serving it with red meats, steaks, barbecued specialities or mature cheeses. It is also the perfect accompaniment to a quiet evening spent relaxing with a glass of this distinctive red wine.

Alibernet is a variety that you’ll recognise by its exceptionally deep colour. For the 2023 vintage, we’ve focused primarily on its natural fruity character – blackcurrant, ripe sour cherries and dark fruit. Lower acidity gives it a rounder and softer profile, whilst delicate tannins lend it a pleasant structure. Compared to the Alibernet barrique, this is a more direct and fruitier expression of the variety, without any pronounced influence from the barrel.
